Advice on two images

Advice on two images

images i'll be talking about In the wide image I used the canon kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-56 USM III at 30s / f/3.5 / ISO 6400, this is the raw unedited photo on a somewhat hazy night so i don't get a smuch milky way detail as I have done but it's still visible, however in the second photo taken on the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM at 6s / f/1.8 / ISO 6400 I get so little detail in the shot and I can't figure out why. Both are taken on the same night in the same spot only seconds apart on the same camera (EOS 1200D), but in the 50mm photo I'm loosing a lot of detail in the milky way. Why is this? Bare in mind my sensor is also 1.6x crop so a 6 second exposure is what I need to prevent trailing so I can't open it longer than that.
